EMBRACE AGRICULLTURE, HON. NWOKE URGED FARMERS AND YOUTHS OF HIS CONSTITUENCY.

Dr. Victor Nwoke has joined myriads of concerned and patriotic Nigerians to appeal to Nigerian youths not to derail the present democratic settings by engaging themselves in social vices, most especially the Ebonyi youths, but rather, to be the agents of positive change and be committed to nation building and be of good moral behaviours.   The lawmaker make this appeal during his distribution of over hundred bags of fertilizers and other farm inputs to farmers in his constituency in supports of the peoples charter of needs of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in his bid to reposition the farmers and the youths of the state as a way to discourage them from  social vices and to  engage them in Agriculture to enhance productivity in order to boost food production in Ebonyi and Nigeria at large

By Theophilus  Igwe  Ebonyi State governor,Chief Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reiterated the preparedness of his administration to bring all round development to various Communities in the State,under the  People's Charter of Needs mantra of his administration.         Governor Nwifuru stated this at Re-Meritona Hotel and Suites Abakaliki,during the Statewide Micro Project Launch/Fund Disbursement of #2.055b to 100 Qualified Communities and 2,040 Labour Intensive Public Workfare Beneficiaries,Under the World Bank-Assisted NG-CARES Programmes.    The Governor, who was represented by the Speaker,Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. By Ewa Nworie The chairmansip and councillorship elections held at Eka-Awoke ward in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state were conducted most peacefully.   People turned out in their large numbers as they defied the early morning rain that wanted to disrupt the exercise.  Accreditatipn of voters,however, started by 9am,while actual voting commenced by 10 am.    Speaking after the election,the APC chairman of Eka-Awoke ward,chief Steven Igwe,described the election as most peaceful and thanked the people of Eka-Awoke for coming out en mass under the heavy rain that took the day,to cast their votes.  Also speaking,the former chairman of Ikwo local government area,chief Daniel Ogiji(DND)told this reporter that they election went most peacefully,describing the large turn out of people,despite the heavy down pour to the leadership ingenuity of the council chairman,Barr.Sunday Nwankwo.   He thanked the people of Eka-Awoke for their solidarity and supports,assuring that the s

EBONYI ASSEMBLY PASSES EBONYI STATE ELECTRICITY LAW 2024.

By Silvester Egede The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has passed into law a bill to establish the Ebonyi State Electricity 2024 and other matters conneccted thereto. The passage of the bill into law took place at Nkaliki Road during. plenary session presided over by the Speaker Rt  Hon Chief  Moses Ije Odunwa . The law which is deemed to have come into force  on Tuesday 9th July 2024 will be cited as the Ebonyi State Electricity law 2024. Speaking earlier on the bill, the Leader of the House Hon Kingsley Ikoro urged the honourable members to support the passage of the bill which he said provides legal framework to guide the operations of electricity generation in Ebonyi State. IKWO COUNCIL BOSS,BARR.NWANKWO AS PEACE BUILDER

      Gov Ogbonna Nwifuru Barr.Basil Sunday Nwankwo,the Executive chairman of Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state is a man of peace and great achiever.     His first term in office has brought total peace in Ikwo land.Those that are not confortable with his endorsement by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for second tenure are just mere haters who are unnecessarily envious of the growing political profile of the young council chairman,Barr.Nwankwo.    For sure God who sees in secret and in open has acknowledged that Barr Nwankwo has performed above average compared to other local government chairmen in the state.   And this in no doubt,attracted his endorsement by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru who was very pleased with the superlative perfomance of Barr.Nwankwo.   That the stakeholders of Ikwo also endorsed and upheld the verdict of his Excellency,the governor,is a welcome development and well deserved,in view of Barr.Nwankwo's peaceful disposition that has manifested in his l
