EMBRACE AGRICULLTURE, HON. NWOKE URGED FARMERS AND YOUTHS OF HIS CONSTITUENCY.

The Chairman of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on youth Development and sports and member representing Abakaliki North Constituency, Hon. Dr. Victor Nwoke has joined myriads of concerned and patriotic Nigerians to appeal to Nigerian youths not to derail the present democratic settings by engaging themselves in social vices, most especially the Ebonyi youths, but rather, to be the agents of positive change and be committed to nation building and be of good moral behaviours.
  The lawmaker make this appeal during his distribution of over hundred bags of fertilizers and other farm inputs to farmers in his constituency in supports of the peoples charter of needs of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in his bid to reposition the farmers and the youths of the state as a way to discourage them from  social vices and to  engage them in Agriculture to enhance productivity in order to boost food production in Ebonyi and Nigeria at large.
  .He appealed to the farmers, most importantly, the youths, not to allow the present hardship to push them to do what will be inimical to the growth of the state and urged them to shun anything that will throw the country into further hardship but rather take their future into their hands by engaging themselves in agriculture as a way of gainfully engaging themselves in an enterprise. 
.Hon. Nwoke used the occasion to eulogize the Ebonyi state Governor Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his giant steps in empowering the youths of the state through the appointment of youths into positions  of authority and other incentives and urged other state Governors to emulate such as a way of gainfully involving the youths and as a way to discourage them from participating in social vices such as cultism, kidnapping, rape, prostitution, child trafficking, drug abuse, maiming of innocent citizens, sectarian violence, and other destructive tendencies.
  He further added that the fertilizer and other farm inputs distribution was his personal way of giving proper direction to the youths and farmers to contribute meaningfully in the development of the society.
   Appreciating the law maker, the former chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, Hon. Ben Nwovu poured encomiums on Hon. Victor Nwoke for the gesture and equally reminded the youths that it is biblical that youths should engage themselves in acts that will enhance their well being in the future.
  Others who spoke include Hon. Chunedu Emenike, Mr. Emeka Nwede the APC Ward Chairman in Izzi Nnuphu Ward 10 and Mrs. Precious Nwigwe who all appreciated the lawmaker and implored the youths and farmers to make good use of the farm incentives they received

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
