EBONYI FIRST LADY,UZOAMAKA NWIFURU AS THE MOST ACTIVE FIRST LADY IN NIGERIA

No doubt,Her Excellency,chief Mrs Maudline Uzoamaka NWIFURU,is the most active first lady in Nigeria.
   This is because of her vibrancy and commitment towards ensuring the success of her pet project. 
   Just recently,she attended a meeting of the  first ladies of the country,where she was quite outspoken for the good of women in the country. 
   It is a thing of great joy that she carrys out her duties with utmost commitment and passion,just,like her husband, governor Ogbonna Nwifuru,who is doing everything possible to reposition the state.
   As the first lady of the state,she is full of wisdom,human compassion and total commitment to the course of her pet project which is centred on human right of Ebonyi child and violence against women.
   She has tranversed virtually all the 13 local government areas of the state, carry out one function or the other,whether gender related or not.
Mrs NWIFURU,has stepped down her pet project by leading campaigns against trafficking in persons and sensitization of basic human right of  Ebonyi child,including issues        relating to gender base violence,child trafficking,street hawking,and other demeaning ventures associated with Ebonyi child and women.
   Other key projects carried out by Her Excellency,within two months of assumption of duty,include,the flagging off of Mass literacy campaign,flagging off of distribution of relief materials to flood victims,and playing host to several groups in her office,all aimed at giving the state proper attention. 
  The groups include, Market women, UNESCO sportlight initiatives,forum of vice chairmen of 13 local government areas,spouses of Exco members, spouses of House of Assembly members, izzi Traders progressive union among other groups. She has given robust succur to the poor and down trodden in the society.
No wonder,she was honoured with award of humility,in recorgnition of her humanitarian and philanthropic contributions to the state,by the prestigious Association of communication scholars and professionals,Ebonyi state branch.
  Chief Mrs Maudline Uzoamaka NWIFURU is an epitome of beauty, humility,dedication and hard work.
 Under her watch,Ebonyi women are no longer taken for granted.
The 35 affirmative action of women are fully realized in EBONYI state,and even above measures.
   It is gladdening to note that since the creation of Ebonyi state,this is the first time women are occuping sensitive top political positions,as deputy governor in the name of Princess Patricia Obila and secretary to the state government(SSG)in the name of Prof.Grace Umuezurike,,respectively. 
  Other top political positions,like,  commissioner,House of Assembly members,SSAs, SAs, are also the lots of Ebonyi women.
 This is great and quite. commendable.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
