By Ewa Nworie

Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.
Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project, joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects.
The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki, was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard
The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons, kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.
Declaring the training open, the executive governor of Ebonyi state,Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru, tasked the benefiting communities to make judicious use of the fund to execute their choice projects.
The governor who was represented on the occasion by the commissioner for Human capital development,Mrs Ann Aligwe, said, governor Ogbonna Nwifuru, through his Peoples Charter of Needs, has made fund available for the implementation of community projects for 100 communities in the state, stressing that the fund will be paid into communities Account in less than three days of the training.
Mrs Aligwe charged the benefiting communities to make judicious use of the fund as government will not tolerate shabby jobs or sharp practices.
The General manager of the Community Development Agency,Ebonyi state,Mr James Iroh, had earlier in his  introductory remark, thanked governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for making fund available to the Agency,to carry out community projects in the state.
He assured that, the Agency will make the fund available to the benefiting communities,in less than 3days after the training.
Mr Iroh called on the community CSDA committees to make proper and judicious  use of the fund to avoid shabby or abandon projects, which the Agency does not allow.
