Barr.Basil Sunday Nwankwo,the Executive chairman of Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state is a man of peace and great achiever.
    His first term in office has brought total peace in Ikwo land.Those that are not confortable with his endorsement by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for second tenure are just mere haters who are unnecessarily envious of the growing political profile of the young council chairman,Barr.Nwankwo.
   For sure God who sees in secret and in open has acknowledged that Barr Nwankwo has performed above average compared to other local government chairmen in the state. 
 And this in no doubt,attracted his endorsement by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru who was very pleased with the superlative perfomance of Barr.Nwankwo.
  That the stakeholders of Ikwo also endorsed and upheld the verdict of his Excellency,the governor,is a welcome development and well deserved,in view of Barr.Nwankwo's peaceful disposition that has manifested in his leadership ingenuity,ocassioned by tangible  projects executions spread across various communities in Ikwo local government.
    At present Ikwo local government area has remained the most peaceful local government in Ebonyi state. 
  It is an indisputable fact that peace is a Panacea for even development,especially in the rural communities. And that is the secret of the success of Barr.Sunday Nwankwo who acts proactively,especially as the chief security officer of Ikwo local government area,each time challenges of insecurity rears it's ugly head.

It is a thing of joy that the coronation of five traditional rulers in Ikwo,recently went very successfully without crisis among the communities involved. The traditional ruler's elect have since been presented to the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters,chief Uchenna Igwe by Barr. Sunday Nwankwo. 
 To make Peace a permanent feature in Ikwo local government area,committees saddled with the responsibilities of making peace were put in place. . 
   They include,special peace and reconciliation panel,headed by the former governor of Ebonyi state,chief Martin Nwancho Elechi and peace committee led by chief Okeagu Ogada.
   During the meeting convened at re-Meritona hotel,Abakaliki,few days ago by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru to ratify the second tenure of some council chairmen,ahead of the July 20th local government election,the stakeholders and the people of Ikwo Noyo clan came out unanimous in upholding the endorsement for a second tenure of Barr. Sunday Nwankwo by governor Ogbonna Nwifuru. 
   The stakeholders who spoke through,Ambassador Nchita Ogbewu told the governor that the people of Ikwo were behind him in his endorsement,and thanked his Exellency for approving the second coming of Barr. Sunday  Nwankwo,whom they described as an astute and well focused leader.
 This good news from Ikwo stakeholders actually gladdened the heart of the governor,Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru who commended the people of Ikwo for showing good examples at all times.   
He bid the stakeholders farewell by saying good night.
   Of a truth,Barr.Sunday Nwankwo,has given good account of his stewardship which earned him second tenure as rightly approved by his Exellency,the governor.
   It was a thing of great joy that Ikwo local government area which was hitherto,engulfed by pockets of intra,inter community crisis and insecurity has now become very peaceful,courtsey of Barr.Sunday Nwankwo. 
   What again is the greatest achievement of any good leader if not peace which is the panacea for even development.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
