GOV UMAHI BAGS THE HIGHEST HONOUR OF GREAT GRAND COMMANDER,EBONYI HALL OF FAME

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state,has been awarded the highest honour of "Great grand commander,Ebonyi Hall of Fame(GGCEHF),by the state government.
    The award which was recommended by the Ebonyi state merit award committee,headed by the deputy governor,Dr.Kelechi Igwe,was  administered on him by the chief judge of Ebonyi state,Justice Elvis Ngene.
   This according to the committee chairman,Dr Igwe,was to appreciate the governor,Engr.David Umahi for the tremendous achievements he has recorded in the state,especially in the area of infrastructure and human capital developments.
    He said,governor Umahi has developed the state fully into an enviable status.
    

The conferment took  place at EXCO chambers,new government house, Abakaliki,during this week's state executive council meeting.
     When the recommendation for the award to governor David Umahi was thrown open before the state excecutive council members by the chairman of the state merit award committe,Dr.Kelechi Igwe,it was unanimously adopted. 
     Explaining the reason for the highest award to honour governor David Umahi,Dr Kelechi Igwe,explained that governor Umahi has completely rebuild the state,since he assumed office in 2015,hence,the need to accord him the highest honour in the state,to appreciate him by Ebonyians.
   It will be recalled that governor David Umahi has  received so many awards and luerel,including award from President Muhammadu Buhari,on projects.
    The most recent,"Grand Service Star award",the highest award in River state,was confered on him by governor Nyesom Wike.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
