IKWO CHAIRMAN,BARR. NWANKWO, PARENTS OF FIRST LADY,CHIEF NWODE AND WIFE,OTHERS,BAG CHIEFTAINCY TITLE FROM IKWO ANCESTRAL HOME
The chairman,Ikwo local government area,Barr.Sunday Nwankwo has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ezeoha I of Unweka Omaka Ajali.
Others conferred with the chieftaincy title,to mark 2024 Unweka Day celebration,include, the father and mother of the first lady of Ebonyi state,chief Simon Nwode and Dr Mrs Ngozi Nwode,both with the chieftaincy titles of Ezeudo I and Ugoeze 1 of Unweka Omaka Ajali, respectively.

Also conferred with the chieftaincy titles by the ancestral home of Ikwo Noyo,made up of Ekpelu, Eka-Awoke, Ekpomaka communitrs,include, the chief executive officer(CEO),C Sagas group of company, Arch. Christain Asaga Nwali(PhD),who was conferred with the chieftaincy title of, Ebube Dike 1 of Unweka, speaker,Ebonyi state House of Assembly,Rt Hon.Moses Odunwa,the chieftaincy titles of Omudo 1 of Unweka kingdom,and senator,representing Ebonyi central,chief Ken Eze,with the chieftaincy titles of Ezesinachi 1 of Unweka Ikwo.
Governor OgChiefbonna Nwifuru,while responding to the address presented by the chairman,Unweka General Assembly,chief Daniel Ogiji,thanked the people of Unweka principal community for their support to his administration.
The governor who was represented by the speaker,Ebonyi state House of Assembly,Rt.Honourable Moses Odunwa,however,promised to look into the requests presented by the Unweka General Assembly,which include,the appointment of a commissioner or any top federal position to the principal community.
The former governor of Ebonyi state,Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi,represented by chief Ndubisi Agbo,commended Unweka General Assembly for organizing "Unweka Day" ,describing it as very historical. He enjoys the people to aways live in peace and support the administration of governor Ogbonna Nwifuru.

Barr.Sunday Nwankwo,while Expressing delights over the chieftaincy titlesconferred on him by Unweka assured that,his administration would continue to identify with the developmental needs of the principal community,stressing that the roads connecting Unweka would be given more attention.
The father of the first lady of the state,chief Simon Nwode and wife,thanked Unweka for recognizing him and his wife,describing the chieftaincy titles as very special to Nwode's family. He assured that governor Ogbonna Nwifuru would continue to prioritize rural developments and peoples welfare in the state.
Chief Christain Asaga Nwali,while thanking Unweka principal community,for the honour done him,said,he would never relent in making the community,a better place to live,and announced the payment of NECO school fees to 50 pupils,from each of the three communities that make up Unweka,and in addition,announced the cash donations of N1 million Naira each,to 3 Unweka communities.
Senator,representing Ebonyi central in the National Assembly,chief Ken Eze who was represented by chief Ikechukwu Nwafor,thanked the people of Unweka for conferring him a chieftaincy title,assuring that he would continue to give his constituency,effective representation,just as he announced a cash donation of 2 million Naira to the Unweka communities.
Earlier,the chairman of Unweka General Assembly,chief Daniel Ogiji,had solicited for more government presence to the principal community,especially,through top political appointments and construction of rural roads.
The chairman of the ocassion,and National President,Ikwo Development Union,Dr Sam Nte Egwu,thanked Unweka for coming together to organise Day,saying,it will go a long way in fostering peace and development of the old principal community.
The ocassion featured cultural displays and goodwill messages,all commending governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for his people oriented administration.
