GOV.NWIFURU APPROVES RECRUITMENT OF 2,600 PERSONNEL INTO NIGERIA HUNTER AND FOREST SECURITY SERVICE

To beef up security architecture to fight crime to a stand still,Governor Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has approved the recruitment of  2,600 officers of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Services in the state.
   This was disclosed by the state commander of the security outfit, chief  Igwe Larry while interacting with journalist in his office. 
   Commander Igwe who commended governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for his people oriented administration and support to security agents in the state to combat crimes,said, the Nigerian Hunters and security services which has its command headquarters in the 36 states of the federation was established to assist the Nigeria police and other security agencies to combat crime,with special attention to the forests as their beats.
 "Before now,our God given governor,Builder Ogbonna Nwifuru has graciously approved 2,260 personnel,Ebonyi youths, male and female into the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security services in the state, hence, the security challenges facing the country at large".
  According to Igwe,"governor  Ogbonna Nwifuru has seen the activities of the outfits across the 13 local government areas of the state,and agree that people can now sleep with their eyes closed in various villages and communities, courtesy of the security outfit.

 "The best thing our governor has done was the approval of the recruitment which tally with the meeting the governors of the federation had with Mr President, Bola Tinubu,recently,on measures to tackle insecurity in the country. 
  "Ebonyi people should stand tall and thank God that they have a visionary leader,like, governor Ogbonna Nwifuru. who is always very proactive in every issues affecting the state.
   Commander Larry Igwe,explain that governor Ogbonna Nwifuru in his usual magnanimity has paid for the recruitment forms for Ebonyi people so that Ebonyi quota will not be conceded to other states.
   On whether the Nigerian hunter and Forest Security service is recognized by law,Igwe said,the bill establishing the organisation has since been passed into law and awaiting President assent.
    He expressed optimism that the bill will soon become a law as Mr President  has expressed his willingness to assent to the bill.
 The commander, however,enumerated the challenges facing the new security outfit to include,office accommodation,lack of operational vehicles and communication gadgets among others.
   He called on the state to come to their rescue,to enhance their smooth operations,adding that the mandate of the corps are very strategic in reducing the rate of crimes in Nigeria

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
