EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY,TO INSTALL SOLAR LIGHTS AND CCTV CAMERA

The people of Eka-Awoke autonomous community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state will soon enjoy Solar lights and CCTV camera mounted at strategic positions within the five villages that make up Eka-Awoke community. 
   This cheering news came from the new national president of Eka-Awoke community Development Union(ECDU),Dr.Collins Irem during their median meeting with stakeholders of Eka-Awoke,held at community primary school,Onuafiukwa.
    Presenting the blueprints of the new Executives to the stakeholders,the national President, Dr Collins Irem, said, the good  development came as a result of familiarisation tour his executives embarked upon during the yelutide,which an inlaw to the community,chief Asaga Nwali,gave the community N500,000 and promised to further assist the community in building a befiting town hall.
  Irem said,the familiarisation tour which also took them to all the five villages that made up Eka- Awoke community,saw the stakeholders of the villages,also making their useful contributions towards the development of the community.
    Dr.Irem thanked the stakeholders of Eka-Awoke autonomous community and the entire people of Eka-Awoke for their solid supports and solidarity to his new administration,
   He disclosed that,security would form a priority in the community while pursuing vigoriously other developmental agenda,to re write the history of Eka-Awoke.
    Many stakeholders who spoke during the meeting,include,Dr. Cyprain Okiri,chief Daniel Ogiiji,chief Oliver Eze,prof.Joseph Afiukwa,chief Ewa Nworie,Elder Alex Okuku,Prince Edward Ogalagu,Mr Fidelis Uguru and many others,who took their turns to appreciate the new executives led by Dr. Collins Irem for starting well,by rolling out plans that would enhance quick development of the community. 
   They charged the new executives to immediately commence the process of selecting a new traditional ruler for the community so that all round development will be achieved,as governor Ogbonna Nwifuru is poised to implement his rural development plan for each of the communities in the state,including the construction of 2km road and building of Bungalow house for each traditional ruler.
  Recall that  a new constitution for the running of affairs of the community was enacted December,last year,which laid to the conduct of elections that produced the current executives,headed by Dr Collins Irem.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
