GOV OGBONA NWIFURU'S VICTORY AT THE TRIBUNAL,AS A CLEAR CONFIRMATION OF PEOPLE'S MANDATE

For sure, the victory of governor Ogbonna Nwifuru at the tribunal is the confirmation of people's mandate.
My commendation goes to Ebonyi governorship election tribunal who stood firm in line with their noble legal profession to give undiluted judgement that further strengthened democracy in Nigeria.
This shows that judiciary is still the last hope of the common man.
Ebonyi people rolled out their drummes to celebrate the victory of governor Ogbonna Nwifuru.
It was victory for democracy,it was victory for all Ebonyians who voted massively for Ogbonna Nwifuru,it was victory for APC,the ruling Political Party in Nigeria, and it was victory for good governance.
I plead with those who want to reap where they did not sow to sheathe their sword and join hands with governor Ogbonna Nwifuru, the people's governor to develop the state.
Moving further to appeal the judgement of the tribunal,to me,is a waste of resources that should have been channeled toward useful ventures to enhance progress, and not litigations.
The judgement of the tribunal is very clear to every sane mind that is devoid of sentiments and Party affiliations.
Professor Odo's petition against Ogbonna Nwifuru, alleging that he did not resign his PDP membership before contesting under APC,did not hold water,as tribunal struck it out, describing it as internal domestic affairs of a political Party and pre election matters, stressing  that, the tribunal has no power to entertain an issue which took place before the elections.
          Deputy Gov.Patricia Obila

"Note,no court has the power to damble or poke into the internal domestic affairs of a political party".
According to the tribunal, the petitioners failed to prove that the 2nd Respondent(Nwifuru)was at the Time of the election not qualified to contest the Governorship Election hence there is substantial material evidence before the Tribunal which shows that the 2nd Respondent, duly resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The petition of chief Ifeanyichukwu Odii of PDP alleging massive rigging in favour of governor Ogbonna Nwifuru, was equally struck out by the tribunal, who ruled that the petitioner has no evidence to prove massive rigging.
To me,this is the time for the two litigants,Prof.Ben.Odoh of APGA and chief Ifeanyichukwu Odii of PDP to reconcile with governor Ogbonna Nwifuru,to move the state forward.
Good a thing,as governor Ogbonna Nwifuru,in his state broadcast while reacting to the tribunal judgement on Wendesday,27th September,2023,extended hand of fellowship to professor Ben.Odoh and Ifeanyichukwu Odii,to sheathe their sword and come together with him to develop the state.
Yes,the challengers may find it  difficult to accept the reality, because, they may still live in fantasy and delusion, but, this is the most mature and wisest thing to do.
I commend governor Ogbonna Nwifuru for being very magnanimous in victory.
This is the heart of a good leader.
