EBONYI WIDOW RECEIVES 2 FLATS BUNGALOW FROM FORMER GOV.UMAHI'S AIDE

By Ewa Nworie,Abakaliki.

It was moment of joy, merriment and thanksgiving for a vulnerable widow,Mrs Ujebe Nworie and the entire village of Igwe Mmiri in Okposi Umuoghara,Ezza North local government area of Ebonyi state,as Rv. Dr.Jacinta Nworie, former senior Special Assistant(SSA)on Lagos liasion to former governor David Umahi, presented a well furnished bungalow house to a widow,Mrs.Ujebe Nworie.
The widow had lost her husband 25 years ago,and later lost her two  sons mysteriously, without any person to take care of her.
She was homeless for 20 years without  shelter, and adequate food to eat, perching from one home to another,in search of roof to lay her head.
Succur came  her way when Rev.Dr Jacinta Nworie through her non governmental organisation,"Ebonyi goldens lions  club in Partnership with the hands that  care foundation,"offered to build a dwelling place for her at her late husband's compound.
Speaking to newsmen on what prompted her to build the house for the widow, during a handover ceremony that took place in her late husband compound, Rev.Jacinta Nwakego Nworie, said, she was moved by the pitiable condition of the widow who was left helpless and abandoned.
Rev.Nworie said,as a pastor for past 25 years, she could not hold herself without puting her faith into work, even though she had no money, even from government to build the house for the widow.
According to pastor Nworie,"The husband of the widow died 25 years ago and the mud house built for her had collapsed.
She was moving from one home to another in search of roof under which to lay her head.
"Before now,I have been a passionate woman about the dying soul in the society. Am married to this family,it is called Igwe Mmiri village precisely,Okposi Umuoghara,Ezza North local government area.
"So the widow had her two sons and they all died mysteriously.
One was sane and they took him to a so called pastor,I think it was a nickname, the so called pastor tied this son in one place and he died out of hunger.
"The widow came to me and said, she was looking for money to bury the dead.already I have heard her story that she was homeless for 20 years.
"I said,Madam, you don't need money to bury the dead, what you need is shelter. Because, this compound she is married, was carrying her arround from one home to another, the next day they will pursue her after mockery.
"That is why I was moved as a passionate person to build a house for her to settle down in her late husband's compound".
The widow,Mrs Nworie Ujebe who was full of joy for the gift of bungalow house, thanked Evangelist Nwakego Nworie for sheltering her, saying she was very grateful to God for keeping her alife to witness the kind gesture
She prayed God to reward Nwakego Nworie most aboundantly, especially with good health, long life and higher positions in government,to enable her continue her good works.
In their goodwill messages, Rev.Father Mathew Sukpa, the parish priest of st.Adians Catholic church,Umuoghara, and other special guests, thanked Rev. Nwakego Nworie for the kind gesture, praying God to reward her most abundantly..
They called on other spirited individuals in the society to give to the poor because by so doing, they lend to God.
The event featured cultural dances and presentation of gift by the Igwe Mmiri village to Rev.Dr.Nwakego Nworie.
