No doubt,Ikwo Noyo is the epicentre of political relivance and greatness in Ebonyi state.
  Ikwo is the only local government area that has the highest political INEC wards in the state,and have proved it's relevance in political decision making process of the state,and the making of great leaders,that have contributed immensely to the development of the state and the nation at large.
  In Ebonyi state,any political  contest,like,governorship,house of representative,senate,that does not enjoy the tacit support of Ikwo people,never make headway towards ensuring victory. 
  Ikwo is the only local government that has produced governor,in the name of Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi,deputy governor,in the name of Dr.Kelechi Igwe,and presently,the speaker,Rt. Hon.Moses Odunwa,consecutively.
In the area of decision making process for the good governance of the state,Ikwo is the first to reckon with,among other clans in Ebonyi state.
  Ikwo people are very hard-working, intelligence,innovative,resourceful and strongwil,to turn arround situations for good,through  their God given talents.
  The true character of Ikwo man exhibits honesty,tresparency and high commitment to any assign responsibility,be it from state or federal level. 
 Ikwo man believes that power comes from God,and hold tenaciously the tenet of justice,equity and fairness, especially,as clearly demonstrated through their tacit support to Izzi people,who produced the present government led by Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru. 
The 2023 gubernatorial election was a real walk over in Ikwo land because,Ikwo people saw it as their own project,in honour of their then APC preferred guber candidate and beloved inlaw, Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru.
  Governor Nwifuru who married one of the beautiful daughters of Ikwo Noyo,in the name of Chief Mrs Maurdline Uzoamaka Nwifuru,also supported his beloved brother,chief Fidelis Nwifuru,to get his own heart throb from Ikwo clan,Ndiegu Umota village,Eka-Awoke to be precise.
  For sure,the barrage of political fortunes that have followed Ikwo clan,did not start today. To the best of my knowledge,it started right from the era of East central state,when chief Martin Nwancho Elechi was appointed commissioner for lands,Survey and Urban development. He also served as Commissioner for trade and Industry,and later commissioner for works and Housing. 
Between the 1st and 4th republic,Ikwo people have not been left out in the political relevance of the state and the nation as the likes of chief Martin Nwancho Elechi,late chief Nweke Anyigor,Amb.Frankline Ogbewu,Amb.Lawrence Nwuruku,chief Barr.Okeagu Ogada,late Fred Udeogu,Cele Nwali,late Livinus Nwambe,chief Clement Nweke,Dr.Emmanuel Onwe,Comrade Chinedu Ogah(OON),Barr.Emeka Nwode,Hon.Sunday Nwankwo,Dr.Ben.Odoh among other top politicians of Ikwo extraction,featured prominently. 
   Now that another Ikwo man have emerged as the speaker of Ebonyi state house of Assembly,the third citizen of the state,talking about Rt.Hon.Moses Odunwa,representing Ikwo South Constituency,it is expected that the speaker will use his wide experience in law making,to roll out people oriented bills that will promote peace,unity,and rapid development of the state,just like, his predecessor,Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru,who handed over to him.
  No doubt, Rt.Hon.Moses Odunwa,embued with the true character of Ikwo man of hard work, loyalty,and dedication,is poised to deliver on the mandate given to him.
This is the first time Ikwo man is elected speaker of Ebonyi state house of Assembly,since the creation of Ebonyi state in 1996.
  Therefore,the  people of Ikwo Noyo clan will not thank the governor of Ebonyi state,Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru enough for showing examplary love and kindness to Ikwo people.
   Special gratitude also goes to the members of the Ebonyi 7th Assembly for the trust reposed on Rt.Hon.Moses Ije Odunwa,an Ikwo man to lead the House as speaker.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
