HON.MOSES ODUNWA,REPRESENTING IKWO SOUTH CONSTITUENCY EMERGES NEW SPEAKER,EBONYI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

The member representing Ikwo South constituency, Rt. Hon. Moses Odunwa has emerged the speaker of Ebonyi state house of Assembly.
   Honorable Odunwa was elected unopposed shortly after the proclamation of the 7th Assembly by the governor of Ebonyi state, Rt. Hon. Ogbonna Nwifuru. 
   Other principal officers elected,include,Rt.Hon.Ogba Chinedu Onah of Ohaukwu South Constituency,Deputy Speaker.Rt. Hon. Kingsley Ogbonna Ikoro (Afikpo North West) - Leader, Rt. Hon. Nkemka Okoro Onuma (Afikpo South West) - Chief Whip,Rt. Hon. Joseph Ununu (Abakaliki South) - Deputy Leader,Rt. Hon. Chukwu Arinze Lucas (Ishielu South) - Deputy Chief Whip
In his remark,the governor of Ebonyi state,Rt.Hon.Ogbonna Nwifuru urged the House,to work with unity of purpose to drive the needed development of the state and expressed optimism that the new speaker will deliver on the mandate given to him.
   The Speaker later read a letter from Governor Francis Nwifuru seeking consideration and confirmation of 35 Commissioner nominees which was adopted as a working document of the House.
  He assured that the House would treat the request urgently to enable the Governor take off with good governance for the people.
  The new speaker,Rt Hon.Moses Odunwa,thanked governor Ogbonna Nwifuru and members of the House,for the position given to him,assuring that,the House will work in great synergy with the executives to achieve the needed development of the state.
  He however,solicited for the full co operation of all  members to enable him deliver on his mandate.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
