CHIEF OGBONNA NWIFURU SWORN IN AS THE 4TH EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF EBONYI STATE

Chief Ogbonna Nwifuru has been sworn in as the 4th executive governor of Ebonyi state.
The swearing in ceremony was well attended by Ebonyians,Conference of speakers of Nigeria, high dignitaries of all works of life both home and despora,the academia, religious leaders, traditional rulers, friends and well wishers and top government functionaries among others.
Governor Ogbonna Nwifuru, in his inuagural address,promised to run all inclusive government and called on those that contested with him to withdraw their petitions and join hands with him in the interest of peace and development of the state.
He assured the people of the state that Ebonyi state will remain a reference point for good governance in Nigeria.
Earlier,the immediate past governor of the state, Engr. David Umahi,in his handover address,had extolled the quality leadership of governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who was the speaker of Ebonyi state house of Assembly for 8 years,describing Nwifuru as his son he is well pleased. 
  He called on all and sundry to support the administration of chief Ogbonna Nwifuru, whom he assured will bring total transformation to the state.
Former governor David Umahi,announced the desolution  of his state executive council members(EXCO),retaining only Father Abraham Nwali,Senior Special  Adviser to the governor on religious and welfare matters.
 Chief Martin Elechi,the founding father and former governor of the state in his goodwill message,eulogized chief Ogbonna Nwifuru for being the type of governor,the people of Ebonyi state wants,and urged the new administration to focus on the ideal and vision of the founding fathers to develop the state.
He expressed optimism that Ebonyi state under governor Ogbonna Nwifuru,will witness geometric transformation.
The chairman, Ebonyi Council of elders, chief Ben Okah in his goodwill message,also expressed optimism that governor Nwifuru will do Ebonyi state proud.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
