UMUEKUMENYI ADOPTS OGBONNA NWIFURU AS THEIR SOLE CANDIDATE FOR THE MARCH 18TH GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS

The people of Umuekumenyi,made up of 8 local government areas in Ebonyi state,have adopted the APC Gubernatorial Candidate,chief Ogbonna Nwifuru as their sole governorship candidate for the forthcoming gubernatoral elections.
     Moving a motion,the Leader of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon.Victor Chukwu,seconded by the Senator elect in Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi,called on the people of Umuekumenyi to adopt chief Ogbonnia Nwifuru as their sole candidate. 
This was put to voice vote by chief Boniface Chima  and it was generally accepted. 
    Reading a communique by Prof.Eugene Nweke of Ebonyi state university,after many stakeholders, including,the council chairmen,took their turn to speak on the leadership engenuity of chief Ogbonnia Nwifuru to occupy the position as the next governor of Ebonyi state,the people of Unuekumenyi made the following resolutions:
  "That the Unwuekumenyi has noted with accolade the peaceful co-existence and political conviviality that has existed among the three Senatorial Districts in Ebonyi State engendered by the principle of equity, fairness and justice in ascension to the office of the Governor of Ebonyi State since 1999.
   "That the Unwuekumenyi unequivocally and heartily appreciates the people of Ebonyi South Senatorial District for taking the lead and their firm resolve, declaration, commitment and belief in equity, fairness and justice, thereby wholeheartedly supporting the quest for power shift back to the North and Izzi in particular on the principle of zoning arrangement which began in 1999.
    

"That the Unwuekumenyi is highly appreciative of the leadership ingenuity, uprightness and forthrightness of *His Excellency, Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, CON, GGCEHF*, the Epfueme 1 of Unwuekumenyi; and showers encomium on the Governor for his insistence and support that Governorship seat should go to the Ebonyi North Senatorial District on the principle of power rotation in Ebonyi State.
   "That the Unwuekumenyi lauds the people of Ebonyi North Senatorial District and thumbs up to the “Izhi” clan for their gesture of unity of purpose exemplified by the micro-zoning of the Governorship position to Izzi Local Government Area and particularly, the overwhelming endorsement of Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as the sole candidate of the clan for the Gubernatorial seat of Ebonyi State for the 2023 Elections.
'That without prejudice to the right of every citizen to aspire and vie for any political position of his/her choice; but rather in a bid to further foster brotherliness among Unwuekumenyi sons and daughters, the Unwuekumenyi therefore, unanimously adopts the Honourable Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate in Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as their sole candidate for the 2023 Governorship Election in Ebonyi State.
   "That Unwuekumenyi hereby affirms the principle of power rotation (Governorship Seat of Ebonyi State) from North to Central and Central to South as this promotes unity, peace, equity, justice and fairness. 
 "That the Unwuekumenyi therefore enjoins the people of Ebonyi State and those resident herein to come out en masse on Saturday, the 18th day of March, 2023 and cast their votes in favour of All Progressives Congress (APC) for equity, fairness and justice.  
   "That Unwuekumenyi appreciates very highly, the stakeholders of Ebonyi South Senatorial District especially the Traditional Rulers who in mid 2022, adopted this principle of power rotation. The Unwuekumenyi hereby enjoins the stakeholders of Ebonyi South Senatorial District to reduce that resolution/position in writing and document same for future reference.
   "That the Unwuekumenyi implores all and sundry to abide by this resolution and ensure the realization of this position of the generality of Ebonyi people aimed at ensuring peace, unity, understanding and cooperation amongst the people bounded by common destiny and history".
The Speaker,and APC Governorship Candidate,Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru while thanking the people of Umuekumenyi for considering him worthy to hold the people's mandate,promised to work for the unity and progress of the state.
    He reiterated his preparedness to follow the path of equity,justice and fairness as contained in the charter under which he is contesting,and called on Umuekumenyi and the entire people of Ebonyi state to always come arround to advice him when the need arises. 
    Chief Nwifuru,thanked Governor David Umahi,and the entire people of Ebonyi South zone for their show of love and support for the continuation of Divine Mandate administration,and appreciated in a special way,chief Anyim Pius Anyim and other top politicians who despite Party affiliations adopted him as their sole candidate for the sake of equity, justice and fairness. 
   The meeting was fully attendended by sons and daughters of Umuekumenyi,both home and in diaspora,the political class, elders,stakeholders,business moguls,the academicians,traditional rulers,the clergy and many more.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
