Umahi's construction wizardly-Abuja/Ebonyi Lodge,a reference point.

Governor David Umahi never runs out of architectural ideas and ingenious constructions. Just when you think his construction engine had lost steam, he conjures up another magic that makes you peer in amazement. His mind is a convergence of engineering wonders of the highest standards yearning for expression. The latest splash of projects was the new gigantic Ebonyi lodge in Asokoro Abuja, which was commissioned by the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu. This engineering masterpiece is just one extract pulled from the immense body of projects dotting the landscape.

The lodge is the highest heaviest engineering statement ever made in the area. It is a feat like no other which towers intimidatingly, setting a whole new paradigm by any civil engineering or construction description. It is an incredible legacy and a true wonder of the architectural world. Governor Umahi must have deployed all the tools in his engineering kitty to make this a reality.

This legacy project was rolled out in 2020 and hit completion in 2022. The four storeyed edifice is fitted with world-class facilities from the ground floor to the 4th floor, including swimming pool and relaxation area, gym house, different sections of launge, Cinema house, suana and changeover rooms, internet facilities,CCTV footage, 24 hours power supply and other eye-catching innovation.

The official commissioning of the Governor's Lodge in Abuja which pulled the crème de la crèmes of Nigeria politics was a moment to celebrate the new order which has seen Ebonyi state re-robed with quality infrastructure that will stand the test of time.

Ebonyi is currently under siege from litany of projects under Governor Umahi. His appetite and indulgence in construction are rarely satisfied. His engineering legacies beam ever brightly to the admiration of all.

Indeed history will mark up the Umahi era as Ebonyi's renaissance.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.
