Gov. Nwifuru presents staff of office to new traditional rulers

Governor Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has presented staff of office and certificates to four(4)new traditional rulers in the state.
   The traditional rulers are,- HRH Eze Augustine Mbam Nwamini - Eze du oha ree II of Ndebor Ezza Inyimegu Autonomous Community, Izzi LGA
- HRH Eze Chinedu Mishael Nwankwo - Eze Chima II of Ogboji Ezzagu Autonomous Community, Ishielu LGA
- HRH Eze Boniface Nwoba Nwamgbu - Igwebuike II of Izhi Unuphu Autonomous Community, Abakaliki LGA, and;
- HRH Eze Ewa Orji Uka - Eze Edda of Nguzu Edda Autonomous Community. 
   Speaking during the occassion, governor Ogbonna Nwifuru,describe peace as Paramount in the development of any state and charged the new traditional rulers to maintain peace in their various communities.
Nwifuru said,"This is one of the most important functions I have performed as Governor of Ebonyi State. The authority of a Traditional Ruler is one for maintaining peace and a sure tool for conflict resolution. 
   "Additionally, it ensures that the communities are not denied any right. I am glad that these our respected Royal Fathers took on the responsibility even without being recognized by Government. It is an exemplification of dedication and service". 
   Governor Nwifuru,charge the traditional rulers to be sincere with their subject and avoid taking bribes,but,give fair hearing to every body.
    "I want you people to be sincere with your subjects, Give everybody face and allow everybody to defend him or herself.    
   "Don't make your palace a kind of palm wine centre or a drinking joints.Be more focused and be more dedicated. At the end of the day,you will not regret anything,if you serve your people very well.

 "But if you decide to start acquiring wealth,by collecting bribe from your subjects,they will intimidate you,they will also humiliate you,because,if you take bribe,you will not have mouth to talk again".
  Nwifuru,specifically,thanked,His Royal Highness,EZE Mishiel Nwankwo Chinedu,of Ogboji,autonomous community,Ezzagu,in Ishielu local government area,for delivering his community hundred percent during the last concluded elections  as promised,despite the fact that his community was an APGA area.
 "Chinedu, I promised you this and you promised me votes 
You promised me that your people will vote for me hundred percent,and you promised me unity and peace. And I got it hundred percent,despite the challenges,because,your place was predominantly APGA area,but,you delivered hundred percent,and that shows that your people were really with you.
     The traditional ruler of  Ndebor Inyimagu autonomous community,Izzi local government area,EZE,Augustine Mbam Nwamini,who spoke on behalf of other traditional rulers,thanked governor Nwifuru for giving them staff of office,assuring that the newly recognized traditional rulers will not disappoint the state,as they will ensure total peace in their various communities.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
