INFRASTRUCTURAL REBIRTH AND COMMENCEMENT OF FLIGHT OPERATION AT EBONYI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,THE DREAM COME TRUE

Surely,the truth imust be told.
    That Ebonyi state under governor David Umahi has become a heaven for infrastructural development is not to state the obvious.
    Afterall,visitors to Ebonyi state and opposition elements have on several ocassions clearly testify that.
  For the record,Ebonyi state under governor David Umahi is the only state in Nigeria that have enjoyed rapid development within 8 years of administration.
   According to governor David Umahi speaking at different fora,"Ebonyi state is in a hurry to develope,because of the criminal neglects and maginisations the state suffered in the past. 
  True to this assertion governor Umahi pursued vigorously,the infrastructural development of the state.
A tour to other states in Nigeria will prove that Ebonyi state remains the state to recon with.
     The quantum of infrastructural development bequeated the state within Umahi's 8 years administration is quite encompassing and unquantifiable.
  They include,over 17  Flyovers,very magnificent and solid,International market,the largest in Nigeria with over 1000 shops with modern facilities,the Dubai prototype shopping mall,the largest in Nigeria,the ultra modern Ecumenical centre,a non denominational worship centre,built to conform  with the Divine mandate vision, King David University of medical sciences,a medical institution of excellence,which has since been taken over by the federal government,Industrial cluster,very gigantic and massive,located at Uburu,Ohaozara local government area and,President Muhammadu Buhari International airport,Onueke, among others. 
It is very heartwarming to note that,the above mentioned legacy projects,although,very massive and standard,have all been completed and put into use,including the International airport which flight operation commenced,27th April,2023.
   When governor David Umahi muted the idea of constructing a befitting International airport,many people,especially the opposition elements in the state,thaught,it was a mere political gimmick that would not see the light of day.
    But,thank God that the project has today become a practical reality. 
 However,the construction of International airport by Umahi led administration will ever remain green in the annals of history.
   As it will show-case Ebonyi state to the outside world in terms of trade and investments. 
   Also,the revenue profile of the state will be boosted while the economic activities  of the state,will increase,thereby,reducing unemployments,especially,among the youths. 
   It is a thing of great joy that the airport has taken off in a good footing by employing over 500 youths at the momment. 
    Also very important to note is that the Ebonyi International airport,named after President Muhammadu Buhari,is the largest in Nigeria and Africa.
  Performing the inaugural flight operation,the governor of Ebonyi state,Engr.David Umahi,told the jubilant crowds that he has made his mark as Ebonyi state will no longer be taken for granted.
 He commended President Muhammadu Buhari,for making the dream come true,through the release of 10 billion Naira for the airport project.
   Umahi who was elated as two Air peace Flights,5N-BUY and 5N-BXF carrying passengers from Lagos and Abuja,respectively,landed safely,at the new airport,announced one month free ticket for travellers,boardering aircraft at the International airport,starting from May,2023.

EKA-AWOKE COMMUNITY QUALIFIES FOR WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECTS

By Ewa Nworie Eka-Awoke community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state was among the 54 communities qualified for CSDA support under the NG-CARES programme,a world Bank Assisted project.    Members of the CSDA committee from Eka-Awoke,elected to carry out the implementation of their community project,joined colleagues from other communities to receive intensive training on how to handle the projects. The training which took place at Re-maretona hotel Andsuite,Abakaliki,was meant to empower the committees of benefiting communities with the prerequisite knowledge on how to carry out the world Bank Assited projects in their various communities in line with the world Bank approved standard The training which was seen as quite impactful and result oriented,as members of the committees were seen answering questions correctly from the resource persons,kept the committees abreast of what they should know about the management of Agency's fund.

NDUFU IKWO DC COORDINATOR,DR.EJEM CHARGES NEW MGT CTTEE MEMBERS TO WORK HARD
