Ebonyi: MAGT CTTEE MEMBERS URGED TO DEVELOP GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH DC CO ORDINATORS AND THE MASSES

The Commissioner for local  government and chieftaincy matters in Ebonyi state,chief Uchenna Igwe has called on the management committee members of the Development Centres to develop a good working relationship with their co ordinators and the masses.  The Commissioner who gave the charge during a meeting he held with the management committee members of the 64 Development centres in the state,told the management committee members that,they should always hold a meeting at least,once in a month with their co ordinators to  discuss projects that would be carried out in their development centres.    His words," you people should be having meetings at least once in a month with your co ordinators to put heads together to know the investments to move your Development centre  forward.  "Whatever thing they are doing, whatever infrastructure they want to put on ground,it must be in agreement with you people. EBONYI HAG TASK MEDIA PRACTITIONERS IN NIGERIA TO BE THE WATCHDOG OF GOVT ACTORS

By Ewa Nworie The Attorney General and commissioner for justice,Ebonyi state,Dr Ben Odoh,has tasked media practitioners in the country to be the watchdog of government actors so as to hold them accountable to the people.     Dr Odoh gave the charge during a courtesy visit of Association of Ikwo media practitioners,in his office at Ochudo centenary city,Abakaliki.  Odoh who described journalists as critical partners of government,said,government cannot work effectively without the media doing their work.     His words," Government cannot work effectively without the media doing the work of check and balance.  "Any government that neglect the impact of the media, is standing on a keg of gun powder. So I want to sincerely welcome you to my office and say I'm delighted and all agog to be interfacing with you today.
