EBHA PASSES A BILL TO AMEND EBONYI STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS AND DEVELOPMENT CENTERS REGULATION AND REMUNERATION PACKAGE FOR PUBLIC AND POLITICAL OFFICEHOLDERS

By Theophilus Igwe  Ebonyi State House of Assembly has passed a Bill for a Law, to Amend Ebonyi State Local Government Councils And Development Centers Regulation and Remuneration Packages for Public and Political Officeholders Amendment Law No 004 of 2008. The event, which took place at the legislative complex, Nkaliki road Abakaliki, during the plenary of Thursday, was presided by the Speaker, Chief Moses Ije Odunwa. Reading the letter of the State Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Speaker Odunwa emphasized the importance of the bill, which was intended to upwardly  review the Salaries and office imprest of the Leaders, Deputy Leaders, Councillors, Supervisors, Secretaries, Liaison Officers, and Management Committee Members,  in line with the current financial landscape. Gov Nwifuru Congratulates Author, "Years Of Shame"

By Theophilus Igwe The Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has congratulated Mr Obinna Udenwe, the author of a novel, "Years of Shame", and encouraged him to keep the pace of making the State proud. Governor Nwifuru stated this at Remeritona Hotel and Suites Abakaliki, during the book launch. Governor Francis Nwifuru, who was represented by the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, said that the years of shame as captured in the novel, was not limited to Izzi land, but Ebonyi State in general. He recollected the challenges, faced by the people of Ebonyi State at the past, and thanked God for his blessings upon the State.
